14th March 2009 We arrived at Arundel just before 8pm. We eventually found St Mary’s Gate Public House & Hotel - where we would conduct our briefing prior to our investigation at Binsted Woods - a short journey away. We left Arundel at approx 8.40pm and arrived at Binsted Woods just before 9pm. Baseline readings were taken with a Thermo meter - Temp 7c - and an EMF Meter, no EMF fields present in the area .We gathered our all our equipment and made our way down the Binsted Lane towards the ornamental pond on the right hand side. We performed an EVP experiement just parallel with the pond and again readings were taken - 7c - and no EMF fields detected in the area. Shortly after this Nath mentioned he had seen something from up the lane we have just walked down. Extensive photos and filming were taken of the area in the hope we may have captured something. No unusual reading detected with either thermo meter or EMF meter .It was eventually decided that whatever had been seen, perhaps had moved on now. We continued walking further up the lane until we came to the waste ground and foundations of where the Binsted house once stood. Another EVP experiment was performed and a reading was taken as before - 6c - and no EMF fields detected. Nothing usual to report, all seemed quiet and peaceful. It was decided that it would be best to move onto another area of the woods. We walked back up the lane and arrived back at the pond, and walked through the gate towards the Madonna statue on the furthest corner of the pond. Nothing usual to report here! We decided to head further up the path in a north westerly direction from the pond, to what has become known as the Game Keeper’s woods. Nath mentioned several names possibly related. Tammy felt something behind her further on up the path, very unsual indeed. We conducted an EVP experiment and readings were taken - 7c - and no EMF fields were present in the area. As there was nothing further happening in the area it was decided to call it a night. We returned back up the path from which we had just walked down and arrived safely back at the car. We concluded our investigation at approximately 10:30 pm.
Comments from our team: Nath - This was definitely a very atmospheric site, and is another place I’d like to return to in the warmer, brighter months! Clare - An interesting place which visibly has a lot of history. Would be great to go back again when there are more people about to see if the energy can attract more activity. Johan - A very interesting place indeed! I echo Nath’s sentiments and feel a reinvestigation is in order in the future. Tammy - Binsted was a nice location to investigate, felt a few eyes watching us around but all seemed pleasent enough,I would like to find out more about the manor house & why the land was never re-built on.... Measurements & Results EVP: No EVP present EMF Meter: No abnormal readings were taken during the course of our investigation. Thermo Meter: Ranges from 6c – 7c respectively. Video Footage: Footage of anything usual caught. Photos: Some reasonable orbs taken from the area especially from the lane leading up to the pond.
