20th September 2008

We arrived at the carpark opposite the Castle Inn Hotel on the High Street of Bramber Village Myself, Clare, Tammy to meet up with Nath for 8 pm. We had a mini briefing in the Castle Inn Hotel to discuss how the investigation was going to run and give everyone an idea of what to expect. By 9pm we made our way to the car park at Bramber Castle to start our investigation of the very historical site.
Unbeknown to us some dog walkers had arrived shortly afterwards considering the size of the site it was felt big enough for the both of us.

We made our way up the steps to the large Colum which is seen in many photographs of the area the last substantial part of this ruin. With the mound in the middle of where the castle was built. We moved to towards a tree west of the mound after Nath had mentioned spotting a dark figure! Clare and Tammy’s cameras seem to both cameras locked up simultaneously and seemed to work fine after the event very strange indeed.

We tried calling out in an attempt to communicate with whatever had previously been present in this area in the hope that this dark figure would manifest itself to our equipment but to no avail. It seemed to have moved on now from around tree where we were now gathering it  become evident from the tree line that we  were not alone and seemed to be being watched by an unseen presence.

Nath had managed to approach the tree line and had engaged the unseen presence and seemed shed more light on whatever was surrounding  us . We took many pictures in the area in the hope this would produce something not seen by our naked eyes . As the dog walkers seemed to be the other side of the mound. We decided it best to go and investigate the Church which was formally the Chapel of Bramber Castle. On arriving at the Church Clare mentioned she felt sick and had seen something moving towards the door of the Church. Nath mentioned he thought were not alone in the area and said that an elderly lady was present unknown as why she might be there. Various photos were taken! Clare used her Dowsing Crystal to see if any other information could be gained from this area. The other side of the church facing the Colum was being held up with scaffolding which made it very difficult do anything at the back of the church. We eventually moved on to the other side of the mound on some ruins east of the mound which had a great view of the ever expanding countryside below. Nath mentioned he felt we were being watched from above we took many pictures and tried calling out to see if we could communicate with whomever may have been present at the time .

We visited two other locations there after that being some ruins north east of the mound and some outer wall ruins north west but these did not seem to produce anything apart from the north east mound which could have been the stables for the castle we concluded our investigation at approx 11.30 pm .

Comments from our team:

Johan = Fantastic location and look forward to revisiting Bramber Castle later this year to perhaps uncover some of its secrets .

Nath = I echo Johan’s sentiments. I loved this place and am keen to uncover more of it! Am hoping the EVP produces something. Certainly NOT a dead site.

Tammy = Bramber Castle Ruins I found an interesting place, not much actual activity  to report but a few odd happenings. it seems to definitely  have a strange atmosphere to it. Looking forward to the next location..........

Clare = A good location to start and some interesting results, it would be good to go back around Christmas time to try and communicate with the children who are said to visit around this time.
