Myself and Nath collected Tammy and Clare from Shoreham we made our way to a pub in Bramber high street for briefing at about 8 pm .Then we made our way up the A283 to the turn off for the Chactonbury Ring road, making our way up the narrow and perilous single lane track to the near by public carpark of Chactonbury Ring at around 9 pm. I took a baseline temperature reading! Then we all started walking up the narrow path to the ring itself, passing some day trippers who were coming back from the ring. We would emphasis the path is fairly steep and it is a long way to the top. We eventually arrived at the top of the slope and walked to the ring itself where there were some people camping and a few sheep that seemed to be occupying the area. I would like to mention the ring does provide a fantastic view of the Sussex countryside however having explored the circumference of the ring and the middle. It became clear this is a very calm and peaceful place our investigation there was without incident. The walk down the slop back was very tricky in the dark and definitely not something to be rushed by any means. We all reached the car park, which was a welcome relief for everyone. We concluded our investigation just after 11 pm. Measurements & Results Thermometer: Car park 12 Degrees / Ring 15 Degrees respectively. EMF Fields: No fields detected. EVP: No EVP’s found. Photos:None Camcorder footage:None Comments from our team: Tammy: A beautiful countryside location, great view from the hill top, just a shame there was no paranormal feelings or findings to report at all, it has a great deal of history & myths surrounding it but unfortunatley on this this occasion I didnt feel anything, maybe we will get lucky if we try again another day...... Curry on the way home always welcome! Clare: I was surprised, considering its history, that we had never any activity but it was a lovely evening, great views, lots of sheep poo and a fab curry! Johan: I don’t honesty believe this is a very active place despite this it has a very interesting history and some lovely views of the south downs. Still the curry afterwards went down well.
