We arrived at the Pevensey Courthouse at 8 pm to be met by the volunteers who keep the place running: Jane and Dan. We unloaded our equipment from the car and had everything setup for 9 pm. I would mention that we were unable to do a pre-investigation visit and also this is quite possibly the smallest internal investigation SPI has ever conducted.

We investigated the following locations:

Comments: It did seem very cold in this location and that fact you could still see your breath. Also we could all smell alcohol / BO / rotting fish seem. Clare was the first to notice this.

I think this is a fascinating little venue. The investigation started off uneventful and just got better as the night wore on. It was pretty difficult to capture any visual or sound evidence due to the steady stream of passing cars on the main road. Apart from our equipment we actually smelt things i.e. within the Cells and Court room areas. I do think that the courthouse could produce some great evidence and it would be good to return in the future. A massive thank you to Jane and Dan for being so friendly and helpful on the night.

I thought this little courthouse was a real interesting find, loads of history & artifacts in such a small space, wasnt sure what to expect due to the size - but dont be fooled........ Jane & dan certainley helped make our evening very interesting indeed, im sure the entitys there appriciate Jane taking good care of the place & keeping its history alive!

Very pleasantly surprised after a worrying start. A lot going on for such a small venue. We must return here! My thanks also to Jane and Dan.

I think Pevensey Courthouse is a surprising little building and I would like to thank Jane and Dan for being so helpful and informative on the night . I look forward to another investigation at this location in the future.
