17th October 2008
Whoever this figure was, I had no idea. Definitely male, however. He vanished as I made my way towards him, and the tree he seemed to have come from. I immediately picked up on an extremely strong sense of anger – directed at us. Not at all pleasant. This entity, spirit – call it what you will – was not happy about us being there. Not happy at all. We took various photos and camera footage, and Johan attempted an EVP recording. But this thing was certainly not feeling cooperative. Johan decided to goad it into manifesting itself. As soon as he did this I was drawn to a specific spot under the tree – and I really wish I hadn’t been. I felt quite ill, and extremely drained. Tammy and Clare both mentioned how cold this particular spot was, and I admit – I was actually feeling quite afraid at this point. Johan kept telling it to show itself. As he did, the words ‘If you want showing – I’ll show you!’ kept repeating over and over again in my head, never a good sign. I could feel something was drawing energy from us, I was feeling worse by the second, and the guys’ equipment was being affected. As we were about to leave the tree, it struck. At me – of course! A large, angry dark-haired man (‘modern’, certainly not Roman) – though balding – and with a thick moustache launched at me, with both arms swinging. I really do hate it when they do that. The force and the surprise of the attack caused to me fall backwards, though fortunately not into the mud. I picked up on no name, just pure anger. I could not make out any details of clothing etc. This thing was literally right in my face. I was extremely glad when it stopped, luckily as quickly as it started. I felt physically sick, and more than a little shocked. I was very glad when we moved away from the area, towards the graveyard. As we entered the graveyard – still very much in use – I became aware of a much more benevolent entity. Perhaps a protector of sorts, and VERY old. Ancient, even. This was all well and good as we were being followed by our friend from the Roman road. The girls both complained of headaches in the area, which really did not surprise me. I personally felt much better. My energy was being recharged and I felt a protective force was watching over us. A very welcome change. As we moved to the drainage area, north-east of the graveyard, I once again picked up on our less than helpful entity from before, just beyond the bushes. For whatever reason it could not cross towards us. Something I do not doubt our friendly protector was responsible for. Whatever the reason, I was most pleased. We wandered up to the main entrance of the Castle. Clare had had small stones thrown at her there, in the past. No such luck this time, though. I didn’t pick up on anything, though Tammy’s Camcorder was rapidly losing power. We decided to call it a day, and retuned to the inviting warmth of Johan’s car! I had a most unpleasant experience at Pevensey, and was very relieved to be leaving the place. I haven’t felt something as angry and draining as that in a long time. And I’m in no hurry to experience it again. That said, I would love to return there in the day time. Better prepared! There is something at Pevensey, something extremely annoyed and also something doing its best to protect. I will admit to being very glad to get into bed that night… |
